St Mary’s Church, Steeple Ashton, Wiltshire

St Mary’s Church, Steeple Ashton is, both architecturally & in respect of community interest, an outstanding building. It is a Grade 1 Listed, & has important historical links extending over 500 years, coupled with the rise and demise of the wool trade. It also has an organ of very special merit & houses the Hay Library, a collection of ancient books from a past incumbent. The village of Steeple Ashton is recognised as one of Wiltshire’s gems. Though definitely a rural location, access is easy and the tourist potential, partly due to the proximately to Bath, is growing.
