STEEPLE ASHTON PARISH COUNCIL SEPTEMBER 2010

ROAD CLOSURE:
The A350 is scheduled to be closed  from 10.09.10 and for approximately three weeks between West Ashton and Littleton Roundabout. The road will be completely closed for the initial weekend and then nightly from 19.30 to 05.30.  The works will include vegetation works, carriageway strengthening drainage works, installation of new kerbing and road markings resurfacing and improvements to the current signage. 
LOCAL TRANSPORT PLAN DRAFT PARKING STRATEGY
The consultation on the Local Transport Plan draft Parking Strategy is now available for viewing at http://consult.wiltshire.gov.uk/portal.Ê Wiltshire Council would welcome your comments on this document - there is the opportunity to respond to specific questions and make general comments at a number of points in the document. The consultation will runs until 5pm on Friday 3 September
WILTSHIRE AND SWINDON MINERALS SITE OPTIONS REPORT 
The report is available for you to view and comment before the following date: http://consult.wiltshire.gov.uk/portal/spatial_planning/mineralssiteoptions. Comments by 30th September.
BEST KEPT VILLAGE
The Judges Report for West Wilts round has been received. Steeple Ashton was placed second in the medium sized villages.
PIGS -  The Path Improvement Grant Scheme.

PLANNING
Planning applications are considered at Parish Council Meetings and Planning Issues Only Parish Council Meetings. There is an Open Forum for members of the public to comment on planning matters prior to their consideration.

The September Parish Council meeting will be held on Monday 6th September 2010, in the Village Hall at 7.30pm.
The next Planning Issues Only Parish Council Meeting is scheduled for 7.30pm on Monday 27th September (subject to requirement) in the Village Hall.
